Dr. James M. Whitaker, Jr., 67 of Memphis passed away on October 4, 2020. He was a retired Memphis City Schools science teacher and spent the last 6 years teaching chemistry at Center Hill High School in DeSoto County, MS. Dr Whitaker was preceded in death by his parents, Mr and Mrs. James Whitaker, Sr., and his brother, Brian D. Whitaker. He leaves a son, James M. Whitaker, III, daughter, Nancyanne Whitaker Hickman, sister, Barbara Whitaker, brother Brad Whitaker. A memorial service will be held from 10 until 11 on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Highland Heights Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Highland Heights Presbyterian Church, 2855 Morning Sun, Cordova, TN, 38016.
