Gosh—I’ve loved thinking back about all the ways I’ve known Woody over the years, and how much I appreciated his logical, caring , sometimes mischievous approach to life. He and Joyce were such a large part of my life for a very long time. My condolences to Joyce, Mark and Lance.

Woody and I went to school through 12 grades, so we’ve known each other since we were six years old. He has always been a “ go getter” through our lives. He married his lifelong sweetheart and every time I have had lunch or even talk on the phone, he always had great things to say about Joyce and how lucky he always felt to have her as his wife. I admire him as a person and friend. I’ll always miss him!
Woody hired me as a salesperson in the early days of MS Carriers and it changed my life. He became a wonderful friend and mentor. Being exposed through the years to his his amazing combination of intelligence, tenacity and common sense along with a great sense of humor showed me the blueprint to success and happiness. Woody always followed my career and he would give me regular calls of "Son" here's something you might want to do. It was a cherished moment when on my retirement day the call came; "Son, just wanted you to know how proud I am of what you've done with your life. I was blessed to be one of his "sons". Craig Coyan

I meet Woody in the Parchman Ms penitentiary in 2012 while working a Kairos Prison Ministry weekend. He was the table leader at the table I was on. I was amazed when I heard him talk. He was firing question after question at everyone he talked to. He was so good at having conversations with people. Two years later our paths crossed again and he gave me an opportunity to work for one of his companies and for that I am forever grateful. His heart was huge for people that usually get over looked in this world. He was always thinking of others.
