James Robert Pruitt's Obituary
James Robert “Bob” Pruitt, Colonel, U.S. Army Retired, 87, passed away April 11, 2016. He was born October 11, 1928 in Greenville, MS. He was a career office in the U.S. Army Field Artillery and served in Vietnam. He later was a real estate agent with Crye-Leike and was also a very active member in the Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his children, Lee Ann Pruitt and Tom Pruitt (Kim); sister, June Stock; and grandchildren, Jordan, Madison, and Tommy Pruitt and Lawson and Carter Trefz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Pruitt. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 14 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 15 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Southwoods Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be sent the Alzheimer’s Association.
