I have wonderful memories of this man, my 1st cousin James Eldon and I always called him that because my Aunt Flossie, his mother, always called him that although he preferred Jim. My first memory of James Eldon was his return home from WWII; I was a little over 3 years old and we lived in a duplex on Oakview St. with Aunt Flossie and Uncle Jimmy, James Eldon’s parents occupying the other side. The main things I remember about James Eldon is his softball games with C JH erokee Baptist, his kindness and love of the Lord and his extended family. I’ll always remember his taking time to visit my Mother regularly after she was widowed. I don’t mean ocassionaly but every few weeks, and it made her day. I will miss him but I know where he can be found.Dwayne Akin

When I was a Project Manager back in the 80’s and trying to keep up with where the money was going Jim was always a great man to have on your team. He was a joy to be around and always had a great attitude. He always helped me get on track and trace the money trail. I would go and see him worried and always leave laughing and knowing how to fix the problem. I have missed him over the years but wanted the family to know what a privilage it was for a young engineer to work with a man of such great character and competence. Jerry R.
