Gentle Giant. I was scared to death of him, but had the upmost respect for him. I am proud to say he was my PT instructor at the Memphis Police Department. I knew he was trying to help me stay alive in this new career of policing. I am alive, 45 years later, and still policing. Thank you Sir.

I Fondly remember attending several of Lt. Bullard’s self defense classes he conducted at my request for various local companies and groups. He always did an outstanding job on his presentations and the president of one professional group I invited to Memphis from Mobile, AL was so impressed with him, his group provided Lt. Bullard all trip expenses to make the same presentation to his professional group in Mobile.Jim was definitely a one of a kind asset and representative for the MPD and an individual of the absolute highest character and integrity.
