Jack Richey's Obituary
E.C. “Jack” Richey, II, 80, passed away August 9, 2015. He is survived by his daughters Karen Richey Wallis (John) and Dr. Phyllis Richey; grandchildren, Brian, Drew, Patrick and Nicole Wallis; brother, Robert Richey; brother-in-laws, Peter Sciara (Betty) and Alex Montesi; and sister in-laws, Rose Sciara Vanelli (Raoul) and Margaret Anne Jarred (Les). He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Sciara Richey, his parents Charles and Josephine Richey and his sister-in-law Jane Sciara Montesi. He was an Electrical Engineer who worked for Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division for over 46 years before retiring in 2006 as the Senior Systems Engineer and inventor/holder of the first U.S. patent for the Company. He was also an active parishioner and parish council member at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7p.m., Thursday, August 13 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m., Friday August 14 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”
