Having raised 2 girls Jack continued his fatherly ways at work. Many years ago my dog died, Jack knew I was upset and came to my office to talk to me. It was very comforting and I’ve always appreciated him taking the time out of his day to talk to me. I hope his family takes comfort in knowing that Jack is with his heavenly father with Sarah by his side.

I remember those wonderful visits to the Richey home and the great Italian food. You and Sarah always made me, and my volleyball players feel like we were just a part of the family. As a parent, you supported the University of Memphis Volleyball Team unconditionally. A quality that so many other parents respected about you and I truly appreciated. I learned an invaluable lesson from you when coaching Phyllis at U of M which was to just stayed out of her way and let her bloom on her own. It worked.. Peace be with you my friend until we meet again. Love, Coach Hale
I’m so sorry for the passing of Jack. I loved to listen to his wisdom and he shared so much of his knowledge with us in Electric Eng. at MLGW.

Jack was a dear friend and mentor to all of us at MLGW. I enjoyed my morning visit with Jack as I drank my first cup of coffee. He was always so happy to share a smile and a story. He will be missed by many. Trish Smith O’Connor
