Henry "Hank" Dwight's Obituary
Henry “Hank” Albert Dwight age 80 completed his final mission and went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Friday April 18,2014. Hank as everyone knew him, was born in Scio, New York on July 4, 1933. He retired from the Air Force (SAC) where he flew B-52’s and C97 during the Vietnam War. He then started with a small purple and orange package delivery company in Little Rock, Arkansas named Federal Express Corp. as a pilot. Hank was one of the first 30 pilots known as the “Dirty 30”. Hank was an avid golfer but more importantly a Christian man who loved the Lord and his Church which is Germantown Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. Hank ministered in many ways to the community. He ministered at Brinkley Heights each Thursday morning leading men to Jesus and showing them a positive Roll model. He also delivered food each week to the widows of the church. Hank will be missed by his wife of 55 years Peggy Dwight, sons Greg Dwight(Gina), Gary Dwight(Michele). Daughters Cindy Cain (Mark), and Kathy Smalley(Al). Hank is survived by his four sisters Audrey Wood , Shirley Carl, Joyce Ogurchak and Sandy Salazar. He also leaves behind Seven grandchildren who he dearly loved and one great granddaughter that made him smile every day. Visitation will be Tuesday April,22 from 1:30 until 2:30 service time at Memorial Park Funeral Home. 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN. 38119 “Behind the Stone Wall”
