Helen dated my father in the 80’s and was so kind when he became ill with cancer. She would work all day, go to St. Francis Hospital in E. Memphis and then to her mid-town home almost every day. My brother and I did not live in Memphis, so her care for him was a God send. She moved to my father’s home after he died. I worked with Helen at the Supply Department, NAS Memphis. We had a good relationship and I helped her move some things when she lived close to the old Sears store at crosstown. I talked to from time to time and would always see her at the Orpheum or special events. She always worked so hard and seemed to enjoy her volunteer work. I have talked to her several times this year and she seemed to be happy. I will be pray for you and your family. Helen will be missed. God Bless all of you.
