Hayden Owen Staten's Obituary
Hayden will forever be endearingly remembered as HOS, Kisin, Beast, GOAT, Barbarian, goalkeeper, pickle ball partner, teammate, riding partner, referee, friend, son, brother, grandson, cousin, our Hayden Harry.
Although he left us on September 12, 2025, we know Hayden will forever be 18, living life to the fullest, giving Glory to God with a huge smile on his face.
Hayden was born on December 17, 2006, in Memphis, Tennessee, the youngest child of Matthew and Dolly Staten, and the little brother of Cheyenne and Joseph Staten.
Hayden was an amazing human being who was exceptionally full of life, love, and adventure. He was a local legend as a goalkeeper and was very proud to have just started playing for the Jackson Boom, a semi-professional soccer team. Hayden loved playing pickleball, driving his notorious black and lime green Jeep, riding four-wheelers, working with his hands, and never ever sitting still. Everything he did—and he did a lot— he made sure, “It was Awesome!”
Hayden graduated with Honors from Bartlett High School having proudly earned his certification as a Certified Medical Assistant and a full ride to the University of Memphis. He was a freshman in college where he majored in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Med.
We know Hayden was welcomed into Heaven by family and friends who left before him. He will be immensely missed by his parents Matt (Pa) and Dolly Staten (Spawn Point), his older siblings Cheyenne (Petra) and Joseph (Maddie) Staten, his Nanny, Debra Staten, and his Mamaw, Dorothy McEntyre, his uncles (aunts), cousins, and a multitude of family and friends whose lives were made full because of him.
