Hannah Claire Bailey's Obituary
Hannah Claire Bailey passed away on Nov. 22, 2016. She was 29. She is survived by her long-time partner, Derek King, children, Chloe King and Wyatt King, mother, Constance Regina Tutor, father, Tom Bailey Jr., step-mother, Mary Powers, step-father Gary DeGutis, sisters Anne (Mark) Greenlee and Stephanie Powers Bailey, and brother, Zac Powers Bailey.Hannah was a native Memphian and an alumna of Snowden School and graduate of White Station High School. She will be missed by countless family members and friends. Her sweet, laid-back, fun-loving nature was impossible to resist. Her beautiful soul will not be forgotten.Hannah threw herself into anything she did: From dancing in “The Nutcracker’’ at the Orpheum to cheering on a pom squad. From pursuing her communications degree at the University of Memphis to rising before dawn to bake buns for their food truck. From starting her own business as an event planner to writing stories for local newspapers and magazines. From raising her children whom she dearly loved to creating a forever home for her family.She also had her own, strong-willed sense of timing. Hannah sprinted toward adulthood, and then departed our world too soon. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 26, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with the funeral service to follow immediately. All services will be held at Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, contributions to the National Alliance on Mental Illness are appreciated.
