Griffon Porter Chandler's Obituary
Griffon Porter Chandler, 86, of Memphis passed away on September 26, 2014. Mr. Chandler was in the Army Air Corp. WWII and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He was involved in the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and SEMBA. Mr. Chandler retired from Frisco Railroad as a Civil Engineer and also from Olive Branch Industrial Park as the General Manager. Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth. He is survived by his children, Michael, Mary Ann, and Joe Chandler, two sisters, Deanie and Jacqueline Autrey, a brother, Dixon, three grandchildren, Lisa, Daniel, and Nikki Chandler, two great grandchildren, Caden and Liam. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, also at Memorial Park. Interment will be in Southwoods Cemetery on Hacks Cross Rd.
