Gloria Cardwell's Obituary
Gloria Naylor Cardwell born on January 11, 1927 and passed away April 20, 2015. Gloria was a Christian friend to all that knew her. The only child of Paul and Ruby Naylor, Gloria brought joy and happiness to anyone she met. Imagine working full time as a purposeful and joyful administrative assistant at Federal Express until she retired at 86 years of age. Her love for church, family and work were in order. A loyal and loving member of Bartlett United Methodist Church, she enjoyed the fellowship of her friends and rejoiced in her ability to be active and supportive to those she could help. Family mattered! Her joy for her children Ami Austin (Randy) of Memphis, Fred Cardwell (Rebecca) of Charlottesville, VA and Virginia Cardwell of Nashville, were the topics of her conversations. Her grand children and great grand children, Nicole Fisher (Greg), Wellesley Cardwell, Alicia Cardwell, Olivia Grace Cardwell, Parker Shackelford and Buddy Fisher adored her. In addition to her immediate family, Gloria loved and was loved by her FedEx family; her lifelong bridge group, her neighbors and bible study friends. Visitation for Gloria will be held at Memorial Park from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 23 with services at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 24.
