Glenn James Williams' Obituary
Glenn James Williams, 69, of Germantown, TN, passed away on July 2, 2023, at his home.
Glenn was born on October 21, 1953, in Kansas City, Kansas to George Williams and Doris (Rose) Williams. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia with his two sisters Georgia (deceased) and Pam.
He married Teresa Mayer on August 16, 1980. He completed his Ph. D. in Biochemistry at the University of Memphis and his medical doctorate as well as medical training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He worked for over 30 years as a pulmonary and critical care physician at Baptist Memorial Hospital for MidSouth Pulmonary Specialists. He retired from a fulfilling career in December of 2022.
He was an avid cyclist, loved traveling and spending time at the beach. He never had a meal that was not “the best he’d ever eaten” and he had a passion for life like no one else. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Terry, his children Jason (Lana), David (Susan), and Heather (Scott); and his five grandchildren, Cooper and Bobbie, Sophie and Ellie and Luke.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, July 9 at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service in his honor at 2:00 p.m. all in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. A private burial will follow.
