Since I hadn’t heard from her in a while, I googled her name this evening and found that I had lost a sweet friend two years ago! My condolences to her family, of whom she spoke so highly and loved so much. I had the privilege of working for Brigadier and Mrs. Purdue at The Salvation Army City Command during my college years of 1967-70. I served as secretary to Mrs. Purdue. She is one of a hand-full of older godly women that I have wanted to emulate in my life. She was loving of all, bursting with energy and wonderful ideas, well organized, and so encouraging! I will be forever grateful for her example of faith and love for God and for her love and influence in my life! I will miss her greatly!Dawn (Carmain) Frye
