George Carter's Obituary
George Wyatt Carter, 88, of Memphis, TN, went home to be with the Lord, August 24, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marsille Whitten Carter, two daughters, Karen Pennington, and Jeannine Neuen (Gary), a brother, Bill J. (Shirley) Carter, grandsons, David (Cindy) Neuen, Scott (Alicia) Neuen, Brian and Matthew Pennington, great grandsons, Addison and Bryce Neuen, and a great granddaughter, Anna Neuen. He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. H.H. and Annie Rose Carter, brother, Heber Carter, and a sister, Mildred White. Mr. Carter graduated from Central High School in 1943. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. After his graduation from Mississippi State University he joined the family business Burnette Carter Comp. He was an active member of Eudora Baptist Church for 53 years. He served as Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, and a deacon. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 1p.m. Thursday, August 29 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
