Evelyn "Teb" Davis' Obituary
Evelyn “Teb” Jones Davis, 94, of Germantown, TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2015, from Pneumonia. She was the widow of Richard Nelon Davis, to whom she was married for twenty years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was survived by her sister Lucy Alford of Birmingham AL, her two children, Richard (Rick) E. Davis and Crisler (Cris) N. Davis. She graduated from University of Alabama and received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. She worked with the Red Cross during WWII becoming their first female regional director. Later, as a Social Worker for the State of Tennessee, she became an administrative judge. During her long affiliation with the Church of Christ, she attended Union Avenue, Highland Street and lastly Macon Road Church of Christ. She was known for her devotion to church, family and Alabama football. Everyone loved Teb. As her children were growing up, she was a mom to her kids as well as to every kid in the neighborhood. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. and a memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, February 5 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The interment will be private at Spring Ridge Cemetery Terry MS.
