Eugene M. Mathes, Jr. passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 27, 2018 at his home in Bartlett, Tennessee. He was born March 21, 1931 in Trenton, Tennessee and is survived by his wife Patricia R. Mathes, daughter A Read Obituary
Jesus said to Martha: “The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone who is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all.” (John 11:25, 26) Those whom Jesus resurrects during his thousand-year reign will have the prospect of living forever—as long as they truly put faith in him.
I always enjoyed visiting with Uncle Gene and Aunt Patt. I will miss his humor and the conversations we had. I am so glad he got to meet Melissa, Bailey, Dominic and Liam in May. I felt a connection to him not only as a family member but as a fellow USAF Senior Non-Comminsioned Officer. Our deepest condolences to all of his family.
