What a sad time it is for all those of us at Pitney Bowes who knew and loved Rusty. What a nice man… my phone pal and my birthday buddy. Was blessed to have been able to get to know him and spend some time with him and Martha in Memphis for some special events and work. He was a wonderful friend to everyone and I will miss those phone calls looking for help or information that he was just sure I had. There are so many things a person wants to say in moments like these. I’m sorry, or he will be missed, and the list goes on. Two of the most impressing traits about Rusty was his kind heart and genuine friendship. Several years ago we were at Conference in Scottsdale. Rick came with me that year and Rusty spent a lot of time with him. I say this because when I told Rick about Rusty’s passing he said “Man, that stinks. You don’t get much better than Rusty”. Rick spent less than a week with Rusty and only a few hours each day, but in that short period of time he was able to take measure of the man we enjoyed working with and had the privilege to call friend. We mourn with you over the loss, but we celebrate his homecoming (John 14:1-4). – Vic & Robin Paschal

Rusty was such a kind and wonderful man. I worked with him for years at Pitney Bowes, and he always had all the time in the world to help others. My condolences to all of his family. I am so sorry for your loss. I have many great memories of trips we ve all taken together New York, Hawaii… Dinner at your home. He was an amazing and generous man that loved life, his family and friends. It is hard to say goodbye. He will be greatly missed. We loved Rusty!We love you all!
