Edward Smith's Obituary
Edward Lee Smith was born on December 11, 1938 passed peacefully on September 28, 2015. After graduating from Catholic High School, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his honorable discharge from the service, he attended the University of Memphis where he received a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Secondary Education. Mr. Smith was a long time teacher at Fayette Ware High School in Somerville, Tn. Where he was twice honored as Teacher of the Year. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Inez Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by two brothers, Charles Michael Smith (Anita) and Dr. Vincent Smith (Connie) and six nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank his teaching associates at Fayette Ware and the ICU Nursing staff at Methodist Hospital Germantown. Visitation will be Wednesday September 30 from 5 to 7 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rosary at 7. Funeral service will be held on Thursday October 1 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
