Dorothy Virginia Collins Ludeke passed away on April 24, 2018 at the age of 100. She was a resident of Ave Maria Assisted Living, where she enjoyed her last few years. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James H. Collins, Sr. and Read Obituary

Miss Dorothy and my Mother were classmates at Central High School in the 1930s and both members of DAR, UDC, Colonial Dames and Magna Charta for years. I got to know Miss Dorothy thru Mother and went to several lunches with them. She also volunteered as a greeter at the Central library branch in the lobby. She was always so sweet and looked every inch the Southern lady. An era is ending with this generation.
As a member of Oakville Eastern Star I was sadden to know that Ms. Ludeke had passed away. I knew her when she was active at
Oakville. I wish the best for the family and friends of Dorothy and know that she will be received in heaven. I hope that you will be comforted by the thought that many knew her and are sad that she has passed. May God be with you.John Fowler 901-650-5057
