Doris Evelyn Sowell Pillsbury's Obituary
Doris Evelyn Sowell Pillsbury passed away January 10, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Pillsbury was a Mortgage Banker, serving the Memphis area for over 50 years. She was the first female president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Memphis; co-founder of deja Education and co-author of Fundamental of Finance. Mrs. Pillsbury is survived by her husband, John Pillsbury, Sr.; children, John Pillsbury, Jr. (Sherry) and Angela Pillsbury; sister, Mary Ann Lueck; grandchildren, Carrie Harp, Jessica Pillsbury, Jennifer Burnett, and Adam Pillsbury; seven great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 13 and her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 14 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis TN 38119.
