Doris Evelyn Sowell Pillsbury passed away January 10, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Pillsbury was a Mortgage Banker, serving the Memphis area for over 50 years. She was the first female president of the Mortgage Bankers Read Obituary

Doris was a mentor in my life. One day, as Dad and I sat with her in the hospital, she asked, “Do you hear that music?” We both said, “No”. She was hearing the song, “Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty” in her first days in the hospital. She lived to serve the Lord.She inspired me to become a better woman. And, after spending her final days with her, she has inspired me to become a better Christian.
