Dave Dermon's Obituary
Dave Dermon II, 81, passed away March 20, 2015. He was born September 1, 1933 in Memphis, TN and attended Christian Brothers High School and Vanderbilt University, followed by two years active service in the U.S. Navy. He was an active Realtor in Memphis and taught real estate classes at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He served as president of the Memphis Chapter of Realtors and was on the board of the National Association of Realtors for a number of years. He also was a member of the Life Blood board. He enjoyed skeet shooting and was always willing to provide safety instruction. He had many friends in Memphis and throughout the world. He traveled extensively with his wife, Joan and together visited all seven continents. He was preceded in death by his son, Dave Dermon III and parents, Harry and Carolyn Dermon. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Joan Dermon; grandchildren, Ella Dermon and Dave Dermon IV. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until services at 12 p.m., Sunday, March 22 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
