Cecil Wayne Casey's Obituary
Cecil Wayne Casey of Jackson, Tennessee was born September 9, 1941. He departed this life on July 24, 2024 at his home in Beech Bluff, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Jesse and Georgia Casey. He is survived by his wife Sandra Casey and three children: Ellen Kirby (Jerry), David Weaver, and James Weaver; nine grandchildren: Tommy, Tim, and Travis Roberts (Shelby), Jessica and Jeremy Kirby (Sabrina), Tyler, Jake, and David Weaver, Jr, and Nikki, and six great grandchildren. He has two surviving brothers: Paul and Michael Casey and one sister, Barbara Gowan (Robert), one brother-n-law Roy Jordan (Karen). He was preceded in death by three brothers: Jesse O, James and Robert (Bob) Casey.
He retired as the President and CEO of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 2008 and served on several boards in Little Rock, Arkansas before moving back to Jackson to be with his dying mother and remained until his death.
He was baptized and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and later became a member of First Baptist Church in Bemis, Tennessee. He loved Jesus and wanted to share the Word with everyone. He liked to help people, especially children.
Services will be held on Sunday July 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation at 12:00 p.m. at Memphis Memorial Park in Memphis, Tennessee with Tommy Dean officiating.
