Carole Rodgers Hanna's Obituary
Carole Rodgers Hanna, 75, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2024. Born on October 1, 1949, to James Glenn Rodgers and Birdie Imogene “Jean” Rodgers, Carole was a lifelong Memphian. She graduated from White Station High School in the class of 1967. Carole dedicated 25 years of her career to the U.S. Postal Service as a Postal Inspector before retiring in 2002.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jean Rodgers; her sister, Susan Rodgers Harris (Dr. B. T. Harris); and her nephew, William Harris. She is survived by her niece, Jena Harris, and two nephews, Terrell “Terry” Harris and Jon Harris (Wendy), all of Memphis. She also leaves behind one great-niece, Mabry Harris, and five great-nephews, Wyatt Harris (Laura), William M. Harris, Samuel Harris, Jonathan Harris, and Carson Harris.
The family invites friends to gather for graveside services on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery 5668 Poplar Ave Memphis, TN, with a visitation prior starting at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Tennessee Schnauzer Rescue or Memphis Humane Society are suggested.
Carole will be remembered for her dedication to her work, her love for her family, and her lifelong commitment to her community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
