I started working with Mr Carl as his Drummer in 2015. I had known him since the Mid1990s. But He and Ms Helen interested me in how they Lived so Long. I wanted to know their secret. He told me one time don't do anything artificial. And I can say one thing. Mr Carl was real.In Music a lot of feeling would get hurt. And Mr Carl would always try his best to Love unconditionally, even when there was hurt feeling. A lesson I even today, try to get better at, that Mr carl had tried to be an example of.
i’ll always remember the Friday night singings at AGM. Many times I visited as Mighty Pearl. Carl gave my comedian character that name. I miss my singing days with the Almost Famous Crains. Bro. Carl, we will miss you, but we are glad you’re rejoicing in heaven.
My life is richer for knowing Carl Crain. I was not a blood relative however, our families were so close I referred to him as Uncle Carl. His singing, work ethic, and humor are treasured memories. My prayer and sympathies go to Aunt Helen, Peggy and the rest of the family. "Bibo" Craig
