I didn’t know Miss Brenda, but I am good friends with her daughter, Leslie Gwyn. Leslie is a kind and wonderful person. This is a tribute to her parents. Miss Brenda’s legacy shall live on in the love of her children. Great job! Now enjoy your new life with Jesus and his angels. For you are among them. Amen!

This amazing woman was my friend, confidant and inspiration for 10 years. It’s almost an insult to say she worked for me because it went way beyond that. She was like the “Mama” to us all. Every time we got “a new one” as she and I fondly referred to new employees..she dropped all her bookkeeping and moved right out front to train them. She was patient, kind and considerate – all the things we all want to be – but seldom are – God love her heart for being there for us. This of course put her behind with her own work, but as her desk piled up she never complained – just put on a happy face and “got ‘er done”. I loved her and she loved me. She has seen me at my best and my worst and loved me in spite of myself. She supported me no matter if I was right or wrong. My Mother passed away in January 2009….Mama and I agreed before she passed that I would not be at her funeral – I could not bear it- she understood and we laughed together – we both knew she would not be there – she would be sitting at the feet of her Lord and Savior. Brenda was not my Mother but I don’t see how I could have loved her more if she had been. All of us at Superior adored her and worried about her as we witnessed first hand her health compromised with each new treatment for RA. To say that she will be missed is so pitifully inadequate I’m not even going to say it. What a legacy to have so many people love and miss you when you go! The angels in heaven do rejoice and just like Mama, I will see her again someday. Thank God for his promises!
Growing up, I remember that my Aunt Brenda brought humor into the room every time she entered. That humor was still there last year when we gathered for my grandmother’s funeral. Her bright smile, although it will be missed, will be seen again one day in Glory!Chris Ellison
