Bobby Warren Pence's Obituary
Bobby Warren Pence passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on August 31, 1959 to Beverly Terry Pence of Cotter, Arkansas and the late Bobby Warren Pence, Sr. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Lynne O’Malley Pence, his daughter Alexandra Pence Guererri (William) of New Orleans, LA, his son Bobby Warren Pence III of New York City, his brother Terry Curtis Pence (Nancy) of Lakeland and his aunt Betty Pence East (Robert) of Cordova. He also leaves his mother-in-law Terry O’Malley Tice of Bedford, TX, his sister-in-law Mary O’Malley Jensen of Bedford, TX, his brother-in-law Sean O’Malley of McKinney, TX and several nieces and nephews. A graduate of Bartlett High School, where he played on the baseball team, Warren was a naturally talented musician that taught himself to play the piano and he played banjo professionally, starting as a very young man. He appeared on popular television shows like the Ed Sullivan Show and Ted Mack’s Amateur Hour and played alongside numerous famous country musicians, including Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn. He was a regular on the Rhodes Show on WMCTV-5 every Saturday all throughout high school. After attending college at the University of Memphis, Warren followed in his father’s footsteps, building a career in the ball bearing business. Together, along with his brother, they began the family business Hi-Light USA, Inc., where he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Warren was a true outdoorsman and avid golfer, and his favorite past time was hunting deer and turkey on the family farm in Arkansas and fishing for trout on the White River. A memorial service will be held in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, May 14 at 2:30 p.m., with visitation before at 1:30. A reception will follow the service.
