Billy Ray Creswell's Obituary
Billy Ray Creswell, 77, passed away June 20, 2017. He was born in 1940 in Henagar, AL to Raymond and Reba Creswell. He was a proud 1958 graduate of Messick High School, and he loved golf especially his weekly golf game at Audubon Park. In his younger days he was a skydiver and logged over 500 jumps. He worked for Kimberly Clark Corporation for 30 years and served on the Kimberly Clark Credit Union Board of Directors for over 40 years. He worked for Protech Security for 32 years. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Jane; parents; brother, Richard; and twin brother, Bobby. He leaves a son, Allen (Karen) of Seattle, WA; daughters, Carrie Stanley (David) and Jennifer Alexander (Anthony) of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Sean and Jeremy Stanley and Ben and Claire Alexander; and many first and second cousins up on Sand Mountain in Alabama. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. and funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., Friday, June 23 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Burial will be in Southwoods Cemetery. The family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Whitten Baptist Church.
