Ben Hunter Cheatham's Obituary
Ben Hunter Cheatham, 57, of Germantown, TN, passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis on March 3, 2015. He had battled against a recurrence of carcinoma of the appendix and finally succumbed. All of Ben’s family and many of his friends were with him as he passed.Ben was a graduate of Germantown High School, class of 1976, and the University of Southern Florida in Tampa. Ben was an eagle scout, a businessman, an avid reader and a lover of travel and adventure. He was best known for his positive attitude, friendliness and generosity.His parents, Charles Phillips Cheatham and Adrienne Freeman Cheatham, as well as his brother, Charles Phillips Cheatham, Jr, predeceased Ben. Ben was survived by his sons, Nathan Alexander Lambert-Cheatham and Christopher James Cheatham, as well as his siblings, Leigh Cheatham Cromwell, Charles Fielding Cheatham (Chuck) and Lauren Cheatham Culpepper.The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
