Andrea was a true and genuine friend for more than half my life. The first time I met her was the day of my interview when she was part of a group who took me out for lunch. I happened to sit next to her, talk to her, amuse her, shock her, puzzle her, and make her laugh. That sums up the next 31 years of that friendship. I have always considered Andrea, Paul, and Will as extended family. She was always there for me and I knew I could always count on her, and she could count on me. She was a rare life's gift me, and to anyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She will live in my heart and memory forever.

I met Andrea around 1996. As an engineer, she was a welcome addition to our group of friends. Many of us being math-challenged, she could always fairly split the bill for us! Andrea was a beautiful, smart, funny and empathetic woman. She was my fashion inspiration. She read so many books every year, I could never have kept up. Songs, she knew all the songs since the 70s. Give her a few beats and she could name it and usually sing all the words. She supported women's rights with a passion. She was a committed and loving partner to Paul and a devoted and loving mother to Will. We nicknamed her Julie, the cruise director from the Love Boat, because without her organizational and planning skills, many of our shared family trips and girls trips would never have materialized. A lifelong devoted Memphian, she believed in our hometown. A decades long Grizzlies fan, she supported them through good times and bad. Over the last 6 months she continued to show all of that grace, beauty and courage as she faced her life that had changed with dizzying speed. I am blessed and grateful for having Andrea in my life over the last 30 years.
Paul and Will, we are with you as we miss her but keep her alive in our hearts by celebrating the memories we have of her and honoring the impact she made on so many whose lives she has touched.

I met Andrea around 1996. She and Paul joined our group of friends as we journeyed through medical training, they represented the people who knew math and could split the bill! Over the last thirty-odd years, they and Will, have formed a family of friends that I cherish. Andrea was a loyal, beautiful, funny, smart and caring friend. She was a wonderful partner to Paul and a devoted and loving mother to Will. So much of my adult life has been shared with Andrea. Her grace and beauty were in abundance. She laughed and read and new every song! We nicknamed her Julie, the cruise director from the Love Boat, because, without her organization and planning , our many family trips and girls trips would never have materialized. She was devoted to our hometown, Memphis and to our basketball team, The Grizzlies. Her friendship touched people from all aspects of her life, people who loved, respected, admired her and shared an abundance of happy times with her. Over the last 6 months, she maintained all of that beauty and grace and courage in the face unbelievably rapid changes in her life. I am so thankful and blessed to have been part of her life. She will continue to be a part of our lives as we miss her and celebrate her.

I met Andrea many years ago when I joined a book club of amazing ladies. Our group has toasted many happy occasions together and supported each other through many sad times as well. She was a beautiful friend, and we will miss her tremendously; but she will live on as a bright light in our hearts forever!

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had Andrea as a friend with whom I had many wonderful adventures.
But I truly miss my Grizzlies watch party buddy. For roughly 80 games a season we had our own version of inside the nba going - bad calls irked us, ballet on the court impressed us and Steven Adams is a beautiful man whether he is still a Grizzly or not. I will miss searching for her on my tv screen during the home games.
I added a concert video (Wilco-Tell Your Friends I Love You) to this post. Though not an eloquent move, music is important to us and this song resonates.
John, Anna, Evan and I want Paul, Will and all of our friends to know that we love you.
