Yanco befriended me as a first year resident back in 1997, and every time I ran into him since, he was till holding onto that mischievous spirit, always finding the positive and the fun in life. A true bon vivant. To a higher and better place, my friend.
I met dr G as a psychiatry resident at the VA hospital in 2009/2010. He was my attending during parts of my rotation. He not only shared his knowledge about psychiatry with me but he shared knowledge and experiences about life. He loved life to the fullest and enjoyed everyday like it was his last day. You are missed and loved by many. You fought a good fight. Rest on.
We are so sorry for your loss. Dr. G was more than a friend, he was a family you can count on. His sense of humour could brighten any room and his show of love is like none. We thank God for the life of Dr. G. We are consoled that he grew close to God and prayed with us any moment he could. He is at peace now. Sleep well Dr. G. You fought a good flight. I would like to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Yanco Nicholas Gaviri. 2 Corinthians 1: 3&4 ” Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we received from God. Our Father understands your grief and that you need comfort. Jehovah himself has experienced the loss of loved ones such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and King David. God’s Word, the Bible assures us that Jehovah has eagerly anticipated, has had an earnest longing for the time when He will bring them back life on earth (Job 14: 14&15).
