Wilmoth "Willie" Fant Trezevant's Obituary
Mrs. Wilmoth “Willie” Fant Trezevant, 86, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Methodist University Hospital. She was a lifelong Memphian, born September 14, 1927 to her mother Mary Dean “MariDean” Huddleston Fant, and father Charles Henry Fant. She attended Central High School and The University of Mississippi where she was a Kappa Delta, and graduated from Memphis State University. She continued her education there earning her Master’s Degree. Mrs. Trezevant was a teacher in the Memphis City school system for 14 years, and sold homes with Coleman Etter and Crye-Leike, but her passion was shown in her devotion to her children, her brother Charles Henry Fant (deceased) as well as other family, and her countless close friends. Mrs. Trezevant was an active member of The Memphis Country Club, The Ladies Junior League, Tuesday Study Club, The Garden Club, and contributed to the support of many charitable organizations including The Veteran’s Administration, and The Crippled Children’s Hospital. Mrs. Trezevant was the most extraordinary and loving mother to her children John Trezevant, Trip Trezevant, and Laura Trezevant. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. “Willie”, to her friends, loved golf, art, traveling, reading, and was an talented bridge player.The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, followed by the service at 2:30 pm. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum.
