Wilma Jean Turner's Obituary
Wilma Turner, 85, passed away May 22, 2018. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.She worked as a Dental Assistant with Doctors Pyron and Crone. She volunteered at Baptist East for 22 years delivering mail and flowers with a cheerful hello to patients and families.She is survived by her daughters, Shelia Newport (Don Long), Sandra Stevens (Chuck), son, Steve Turner, Granddaughters, Amanda Marlow, Lori Abbott and Lesley Patel (Anir), grandson, Patrick Belote (Lucy), great grandchildren, Steele McNeilly, Mattie and Tilley Abbott, Lily and Ty Patel. Gwen Belote.She was preceded in death by her great love, Jerry Turner…partner in love, fun and Christian faith of 66 years.Wilma was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church and Jerry and Wilma were founding members of the church. They loved their church family as they served our Lord. Her water color paintings will live on as her works of beauty. Other interests of travel, entertaining, close relationships and supporting her family always in a Christian way were her goals in life.The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 26 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with the service to follow immediately at 1:00 p.m. All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Covenant United Methodist Church
