Wilma Helen Dallas' Obituary
Wilma Helen Dallas, 81, of Memphis, wife of Howard Dallas, passed away March 14, 2011 at her home after a long illness. She was born on April 11, 1929 in Wynne, AR to John and Rosa Thompson. Wilma was first introduced to her future husband when she was crowned homecoming queen. The couple married at her home on Christmas Eve 1948 and were married for 62 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Deb Dallas Walker (Dennis) and Susan Dallas (Brit Billingsley). Wilma was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. As a homemaker, she was dedicated to her family–she was the best. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 16 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorials be sent to Golden Cross Senior Residents Fund of Wesley Senior Ministries Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
