William Wright's Obituary
WINSTON W. WRIGHT “Bill” died January 5, 2011 at his home in Germantown. He had just turned 87 years of age. Bill was born in Lakeview, GA. His parents were Pauline Ripple Cline and Lewis Winston Wright. He was educated in the public schools of Chattanooga, TN and North Georgia. He attended The University of Chattanooga. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary-Dove “Dovey” and two sons, Ledman (Janet) of Plain City, Ohio and Winston of New City, NY; a half-brother, Lewis Winston (Sandy) of Deltaville, VA; also by his brother-in-law, U Kay Whaley (Betty) and their two daughters, Kim (Daryle) Coffey and Lori (Bret) Barton and their children, all of Chattanooga. Bill served in the Army Air Crops in World War II and then worked for Delta Air Lines for 53 years. He was a 35 year member of Germantown United Methodist Church, the Masonic Fraternity, SKAL International, Delta Pioneers and Lamda Chi Alpha college fraternity. Bill enjoyed dancing of any kind, particularly square dancing, and was an avid golfer. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Germantown United Methodist Church with a memorial service at 2 p.m. The family requests that memorials be made to Germantown United Methodist Church, 2331 Germantown Rd. S., Germantown, TN 38138 or a charity of your choice.
