William Turner Worsham's Obituary
William Turner Worsham, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on February 7, 1951, in Charleston, Mississippi, to Jack and Anthony Fonda Worsham.
Bill grew up in Whitehaven and attended Whitehaven High School. After high school he began his career at American Dental Lab and worked there for 45 years as a dental technician before retiring. He was a devoted husband and amazing father. He met his wife Linda at the age of 19 and they were married in June of 1976. Together they raised two wonderful daughters, Sarah Kathryn and Lisa Nicole. Bill was a man whose presence could light up any room. Known for his Godly heart, quick wit and unforgettable sense of humor, Bill was truly the life of the party. He had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed, valued and loved. He loved his church, LaBelle Haven Baptist and church family and served as a deacon for many years as well as teaching and working with their youth group.
One of his greatest joys were his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them and watching them participate in sports. He was an avid Ole Miss fan and loved sharing his array of knowledge for useless facts.
Preceded in death by, his parents, Jack and Anthony Worsham, his brothers Jack Jr., Charles Fonda, Robert Hunter, and his grandson Turner Owen Lee.
Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Hurt, daughters Sarah Lee (Keith), Lisa Richmond (Kevin), and his grandchildren, Eva Kathryn Lee, Spencer Hayes Lee, Charley Grace Richmond, Henry Owen Richmond. His brothers, Donald Lee and James Edward and sisters, Margaret Worsham Laster and Mary Worsham Bray, sister-in-law Kathy May (John) and countless nieces and nephews.
God’s impact on Bill’s life was evident in his kindness, compassion and love for his family and friends. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy of faith, laughter, love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Bill will be deeply missed, forever remembered and endlessly cherished.
Bill’s celebration of life will be Monday, May 18th, 2026, at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church 4800 MS-305 Olive Branch, MS 38654. Visitation from 1pm - 2pm and services immediately follow.
