William Thomas "Tommy" Otts' Obituary
William Thomas Otts (Tommy), 47, of Cordova, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, July 26, at his home. He was born in 1967 and is the son of Larry and Anne Otts, of Oxford, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Southaven High School, class of 1987. Tommy served honorably in the United States Navy during Operation Desert Storm aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. John F. Kennedy. He was a member of the VF32 Swordsmen, an F14 Squadrons.Tommy is survived by his parents, his children Kayle Nicole Perry and William Dillon Otts. He was also survived by his sister Laura Otts Ramsey, his paternal grandmother, Estelle Otts, his uncles and aunts William “Bill” Puryear, Lawrence and Gloria Hollie, Larry and Diane Montgomery, and Gary and Linda Graham, and many cousins who will miss him dearly.Tommy was a driver for Swift Transportation and recently celebrated 5 years with the company. Tommy took pride in his children Kayle and Dillion. He was an avid motorcyclist who loved his Harley and all the camaraderie of the road. He was a sports enthusiast who followed NASCAR and football. His devotion to the Ole Miss Rebels was unsehakable. He could be found every home game in the Grove, which he was often heard saying was one of his favorite places on Earth.The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30, with Dr. Eric Hankins officiating at Memorial Park Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall”
