William Richard (Bud) Otte's Obituary
William Richard (Bud) Otte, born June 4, 1926, went to be with his Lord on October 17, 2016. Bud was the son of William Richard Otte and Mary Alice Ramsey Otte, who predeceased him. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Memphis, was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church, and showed his children how to lead a Christ-centered life. He graduated from Treadwell High School in Memphis, was a World War II veteran (Army Air Corps), an advanced class Ham radio operator (WB4AMY), and was an electrical inspector and a member of IBEW Local 474. Bud leaves to treasure his memory his wife of 71 years, Martha Jean McFarland Otte; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Sherrie Otte of Atoka, John and Sara Otte of Bartlett, and David and Nelladean Otte of Pensacola, Florida; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, October 19, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm, Thursday, October 20, also at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff of Methodist North Hospital and Methodist Hospice Residence for their loving care.
