I am sorry about the recent death of your loved one. May the love of family and friends carry you through your grief. Jehovah God promises at Acts 24:15 “there is going to be a resurrection”. We look forward to the time when we will see our loved ones live on earth again.
Drove by Eastern market and then the 4H Center on McClellan yesterday remembering Bill. When the story of Detroit’s rebirth is told, his name should be included among those community leaders who literally laid the groundwork. He was a patient and wise mentor to me and others at the beginning of Extension’s urban agriculture movement (Growing Roots) and the Great Lakes Heritage Project. Most of all, his insistence on equal educational opportunities for urban youth and families forced MSUE and 4H administrators to direct program development to the needs of neighborhoods and schools of the city. I suggest the 4H Community Center should be renamed in his honor.
Bill will be truly missed. He was such a dedicated mentor to the youth of Wayne County and beloved by many. He believed in investing in the future of our youth and could not be deterred or discouraged from providing a consistent presence for youth in the community. Our world needs more men like Bill willing to step up and be heroes to our children. His crowns in heaven are will deserved. I am proud to have worked with Bill in MSU Extension.
To the Family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that William has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God’s Kingdom will do this under the Rulership of Jesus Christ. READ John 5:28, 29, Job 14:14, 15,Psalms 37:29,Matthew 6:9,10 and Revelation 21:2-4
Bill will be missed. He will be remembered by his friends and colleagues of MSU Extension as a community leader dedicated to the development of youth and families and for his strength in purpose and commitment to the well being of others. Our heart felt thoughts and prayers go out to his family in their loss.
I am sorry for your loss. God has promised that the time will come when all sickness, suffering, and death will be gone forever. Revelation 21:4 Look to God for comfort in your time of sorrow. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4
Sending sincere condolences to the family of Bill Mills. Those who have loved deeply, know what it is to mourn. May wonderful memories sustain you for a lifetime. He was a gentle giant and I will always remember him from our days with Michigan State University Extension.
