I was stationed in the military with Bill at Clark Air Base in the Philippines. He was in the Navy and I was in the Air Force. During that time we also attended the University of the Philippines on Clark Air Base. I knew both Bill and Lillian and we had some great times together. Bill was a great conversationalist, like to make jokes and laugh, was a great friend, and went out of his way to help others. He was viewed by his military friends as someone who was extremely helpful and would always seem to show an attentive ear and helping hand to his Navy buddies. I could not say enough about Bill and Lillian. They both were great friends at the university and also when we had fun outings together. It was a blessing to be at their wedding and to have a good time in Lillian's hometown of Zamboanga. Bill and Lillian certainly will be missed by many. May the Lord richly bestow his blessings on Bill and Lillian's children, grandchildren and family members.

William and I where members of a few facebook groups together and our love for ham radio made us instantly on the same page…We chatted a lot about ham radio and his desire to get back on when he could…Our chats became less frequent and then stopped..Now I know why….William you where a very nice person to chat with ………I say this from one ham op to another, your key may be silent but you signal will never be forgotten, you through ham radio will always be my brother…..May your key rest in peace now….73 SK de wn9vmr

Sending my deeply felt sorrow and love to the family of Bill Mason. William will always be Uncle Bill in my fond memories. My Mom was his older sister, Barbara Ann. Even though she was 10 years older and lived many states away, she loved him dearly. I know because she spoke of him often especially as my brothers and I (his nephews) were growing up. My Mom and Uncle Bill would call each other every few years or so to keep in touch. I wouldn’t be far away listening to them talk. These were the old time days of the rotary phone and I could hear his voice in the background. I first met him in Florida when Mom and Dad took us to visit “Honey” (His Mom and my Grandmother) I never got to know him real well because we lived a long distance apart. Over the years my Mom wasn’t able to travel so we didn’t get to visit Memphis but Uncle Bill always lived in her heart. I last saw him a few months after my Mom passed and I also briefly met two of his children. I loved him because my Mom loved him and also because he was my Uncle and my Mom’s Brother. Uncle Bill’s memory will live on with his Loving Family and Friends. His Beautiful Spirit has now passed over to God’s Glory. All God’s children will meet again in the Kingdom of our Lord where a place has been prepared a for us. Much Love and God Bless you, John W.
