Sometimes he would be late to clinic coming from another hospital. One day we turned out all the lights and hid. The patients even sat quietly in their seats. We got him that day. He was so good natured and I am so sorry for his loss. Just a few stories from working days at Baptist Desoto
Another time we would tease him this nurse liked him. We had someone call him and say they were from Victoria Secret and they were needing his payment information. He was really letting the person on phone have it. We were listening at door and had to go in there and tell him it was a joke. We loved Dr. Hardin he was so good to work with and we had fun at work. I just wanted to share a few of our fun work times. One more story after this.
Me and Kathy Wilson worked for Dr. Hardin. One time the other offices in our building had things stolen from office. We decided to take one thing out of Dr Hardins office each day. We even took the lamp. When there was hardly anything left he came up front and told us he had been robbed. We laughed and told him we wondered when he would notice.
I am unknown to any of the family, but I do wish to convey my sincere condolences to his loved ones. Furthermore, I want to express my appreciation of him for his servant's heart. I have been under the care of the staff of Gastro One for a number of years, and I still recall the skeptical stare received at my first visit there. The lady behind the intake counter asked my name, and when I replied, "William Hardin" she grinned and asked if that was the truth.
