William Thomas Geralds' Obituary
William Thomas Geralds passed away on May 24, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. He leaves his wife Peggy as well as 5 sons. Tom Geralds of San Antonio, TX, Bill Geralds of Memphis, TN, and Peggy’s three sons that Bill claimed as his own, Todd Teague of Parsons, TN, Marty Teague of Tampa, FL, and Chris Teague of Oxford, MS. Bill was preceded in death by a son, Rob Geralds of London, England. He also leaves 10 grand kids. Bill was born in Horse Cave, Ky, grew up in Louisville and graduated from the University of Louisville. After serving time in the Army, he played semi-pro baseball. Then he began his career in the banking industry in Cleveland, OH. It was here that Bill lived one of his most memorable experiences, chasing down a bank robber on foot, earning a personal letter from J. Edgar Hoover. Bill continued his banking career in Memphis, and transitioned to the President of Business Service Industries, the regional franchise of Muzak. In addition to numerous civic organizations, he served on the diaconate of Second Presbyterian Church. His love for life, family, and friends will be greatly missed. The family will hold a memorial service in the chapel of Second Presbyterian Church on Tuesday May 28th. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. with the service at 2. The family asks that memorial donations be given to your local Fellowship of Christian Athletes or Young Life Ministry.
