I remember we had a group project in AP US history and it was a group of 7 of us. Even though he wasn’t the appointed leader, he orchestrated the group message and started pitching ideas before anyone else did. He essentially was carrying our group. We wouldn’t have been nearly as successful without Will! He had such a brilliant mind and a beautiful spirit! And I’ll always remember his kindness, his big heart and his brilliance! ❤️
I remember we had a group project together in AP US history and it was a group of 7 of us. William being the natural born leader like he was, he orchestrated everything from creating a group message and being the first one to contribute and pitch his ideas. I say this because he wasn’t even the appointed leader of the group it was supposed to be someone else but his tenacity and drive to step up to the plate was so admirable! He definitely carried the group! 😂He had such a brilliant mind and beautiful spirit. I will always remember him for his kindness, his big heart and his intelligence! 🤍
I was always moving around, it made it hard to see Will regularly in these later years, but I knew it was going to work out the second we mentioned Waffle House. Will, Iyare, and I would always get the same meals, laugh, and talk for hours. We’d fill each other in on what had been happening while we were apart. It always filled my heart with joy to reminisce and discuss what we had planned. It was awesome watching us all grow throughout the years. I am so proud of the people we have become. Will taught me to be me through him just being him. He was always genuinely himself, he would try new things, and put himself out there for others. He was always so intentional with his words. He helped to shape me into the person I am today, to remember kindness and love wins.
Will had a great sense of humor. When submitting a collaborative book report for Frankenstein in 10th grade English, we thought it would be funny to change every mention of "Frankenstein" to "Frankenweenie." For whatever reason, we could not take the book seriously and could only think about the Tim Burton film. The failing grade was well worth the side splitting laughs.
