William L. "Bill" Eddings Jr's Obituary
William L. "Bill" Eddings Jr., 86, passed away peacefully at home on December 14, 2024.
Mr. Eddings was a beloved member of Lindenwood Christian Church and devoted both his time and his cooking skills to many church events. He was an avid music lover who attended many local musical performances and whose taste ranged from Mahalia Jackson to Mozart. As a member of Memphis Rotary Club he won many awards for his service to the organization after his retirement as an estimator at Chris Woods Construction. Bill will be deeply missed for his kindness, compassion and charity.
Mr. Eddings is pre-deceased by his wife Katherine Eddings and his brother Eugene Eddings. He is survived by his sisters, Joyce Prince of Whitefish, Montana, Wilma Frazier of Springfield, Missouri, and his brother, David Eddings of Carbondale, Illinois, as well as his daughter, Alex Eddings Walter and granddaughter, Margaret Walter, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 21, 2024, at 11:00am at Lindenwood Christian Church. 2400 Union Ave. Memphis, TN. Visitation will be held prior from 10:00am until 11:00am. A reception will follow the service.
