William B. Davis' Obituary
W. B. DAVIS, JR., 89, of Germantown, Tennessee, passed away on February 24, 2014. Buddy was born in Memphis, Tennessee and he attended Catholic High School. He bravely served in the Navy during World War II. He married Sudie Cook Davis on January 25, 1944. He was the owner and President of W. B. Davis Electric Supply Company. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Blue Lodge, as well as a member of the Scottish Rite. He was also a life member of Al Chymia Shrine, where he served as a member of the Directors Staff, as well as the Royal Order of the Jesters. He was a member of the Gourmet Club and enjoyed fishing, golfing, The Memphis Red Birds, and the University of Memphis. The visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Thursday, February 27 from 5-8 p.m. The Funeral will take place at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Friday, February 28 at 10 a.m. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his father, W. B. Davis, Sr., mother, Elizabeth Davis, brother, Walter R. Davis, sister, Mary L. Davis, daughters, Donna Sue Davis and Cindy Davis Lipscomb, two grand-children, Rainey Lipscomb and Lacey Lipscomb. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Sudie C. Davis; son, Tim (Margie) Davis; sister, Dorothy Davis Gammon; two granddaughters, Melinda S. Harris (Jeff) and Jesse (Anne) Lipscomb; two great-grandsons, Avery and Tanner Harris and many nieces and nephews.
