William Alfred Cochran's Obituary
William Alfred Cochran, 89, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Emily Jo Wilson Cochran; his sons Kevin and Keith (Bretta); and his seven grandchildren: Danielle, Wilson (Savannah), Ally, Rebekah, Sarah, James, and Emily (Nathan). He also leaves behind his great-grandson, Hudson William. Bill is remembered fondly by the children of his late brother Jack (Faye): Lisa (Bob), Lori (Donny), Tamara (Keith), Mike (Kim), and Scott (Teresa), and their families.
Bill was a proud graduate of Mississippi State University, served in the Mississippi National Guard, and retired from Terminix after a successful career. He was a longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he served faithfully and was an active participant in the R.O.M.E.O. group (Retired Old Men Eating Out), where his wit and humor were always appreciated.
Bill was a servant who truly loved Jesus, spending time with his family, playing the harmonica, and never missed a chance to be a goofball—bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. His warmth, devotion, and playful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, with a memorial service and graveside burial to follow.
