He was 3rd of four of children. He graduated from Sheffield High School in 1979. He married Sandra Elaine Byrd in 1982. He enjoyed family vacations to the Gulf Coast, the Magic Kingdom (“Small World!”) and Moon Lake in Lula, Mississippi. He was also a high school football player who went on to coach voluntarily what he loved in the Parkway Village Youth Football League and Kirby Middle School in order to impact young men’s lives thru football. He was known for wanting everyone to have a good time and he made sure they did. He was employed by FedEx Corporation as a Senior Materials Specialist in the Air Operations division until 2007. Afterwards, his battle with complications from diabetes intensified.
