William L. "Bill" Spencer's Obituary
William L. “Bill” Spencer, 86, passed away March 4, 2017. Mr. Spencer was an Army veteran and served as a deacon at Balmoral Baptist Church. He retired from Buckeye Cellulose as a Construction Superintendent. After his retirement, he became quite the avid gardener and wood craftsman. Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by his wife, Aletha Sue Spencer, parents, A.B. and Mamie Scott Spencer; and brother, Robert Spencer. He is survived by his children, Doug Spencer (Leanette), Laurie Smithey (Mike), Byron Spencer (Laura), and Glenn Spencer (Emily); 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
